75 Years of Thorpes Joinery : A Year to Give Back

Milestones.

2022 looks to be a significant year for a number of reasons, with causes for optimism appearing with ever increasing regularity. However, there are more causes for celebration here at Thorpes Joinery, as we mark our 75th Anniversary in business.

The incredibly named ‘semisesquicentennial’ anniversary, or occasionally, and significantly easier to spell ‘Diamond Jubilee’ is a milestone that not many companies can boast, and so we want to ensure this remarkable event is celebrated in a way that does justice to the achievement, and pays tribute to the contribution of all those throughout the years that have made it possible.

A story worth telling.

We are quite rightly rather proud of our history and the resulting traditions that our company has been built upon, and we have been presented with a unique opportunity to shine a light upon the wonderfully varied experiences that Thorpes has collated.

From it’s inception as a workshop relying purely upon the ingenuity and talent of it’s founder to service the local community, through to supplying joinery across the world, to our current iteration as one of the most reliable and honest names in specialist joinery, Thorpes Joinery has a unique past. Over the course of the year we will be sharing this story, and most importantly, looking at the characters within our company, championing those individuals who have made telling contributions throughout the years.

‘A Year To Give Back’.

Throughout the years, regardless of our name, market, client or wider situation, Thorpes has retained a certain consistency. Quality of service, naturally, but above all, we have always aimed to simply be nice people, to look after our staff, value our clients and of course to be mindful of the world around us.

This year will be no different, and in fact, will be a year where we seek to take this to the next level. Throughout 2022 we have a series of surprises planned to give something back to our staff and to the environment, which we will be sharing on our website and social channels.
