Hammersmith West London

A sustainably made, versatile workplace.

Contractor: Morgan Lovell

Located in the heart of Hammersmith, this Global HQ has recently received a Cat B upgrade to their 13,000 sq ft space featuring a design based on sustainability and meeting the wider needs of their employees.

The Design

Focusing on neutral tones and natural features, this upgraded office space projects a calm and harmonised environment.

Across the 13,000 sq ft space, we provided multiple impressive aspects of joinery including twenty-one bespoke pieces using carbon-neutral Fenix products. This variety consisted of collaborative tea points, a welcoming reception desk, and biophilic ceiling features amongst others.

When entering the floor, guests and employees are greeted with a modern yet natural environment. The abundance of light is complimented by a hanging biophilic structure consisting of 22 planters, creating an initial welcoming feel by bringing the outside features in.

Mirroring the 4.8m by 2.9m ceiling feature is the bespoke reception desk made from a MDF subframe topped with corian. The finished limestone prima contrasts with the solid timber slats veneered with American black walnut perfectly to project a warm and natural feel.

Meeting Employee Needs

Throughout the floor, multiple open plan collaboration areas have been designed to play on the illusion of a larger space whilst incorporating features that provide employees with a level of privacy. One example is the floor-to-ceiling divider screens used as a unique way to separate the main corridor to the communal workspace. Designed with a planter base and 11 fluted glass panels on a 36-degree angle, employees can enjoy privacy away from the flow of traffic.

From excluded meeting rooms to large agile benches, there is a focus throughout the design to meet every working style. Alongside these are statement feature pieces, including a bespoke contour sculpture wall designed to add depth and shape to the space. Complimented by biophilic aspects and textured carpet this area can be seen to bring employees back to nature whilst being in the heart of London.

Working alongside design and build partner, Morgan Lovell, we are so proud to have been a part of a project that combined the importance of sustainability with modernity to create a space that is versatile. Promoting productive working whilst also meeting the wider needs and wellbeing of employees.
