Thorpes Joinery are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to take on the role of Project Manager
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company delivering high-end projects for some of the UK’s finest architects and contractors.
The successful candidate will join our Project Management team, reporting to the Head of Projects, and maintain overall responsibility for each project under their control.

Skillset
This is an important role, and requires a high-level of discipline, motivation and an ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the project chain.
A background in joinery is essential, with previous project management experience preferred.
Overall, we are looking for a candidate who:

Possesses strong communication skills and is able to think on their feet
Can display natural leadership skills, able to get the best out of their team whilst developing their own skillset

Approachable and able to deal with queries in a professional and confidential manner
Key Responsibilities
No two days are likely to be the same with this role a key cog within a notoriously dynamic and fast-paced industry.
That being said, below is a summary of what broadly constitutes the cornerstone of this role’s responsibilities.
Leadership & support to the project team
Be involved in the formal handover process, and ensure that project-specific obligations are fully understood
Allocation of necessary resources to support project delivery
Work closely with our Design Department, and Installation Department to ensure accuracy and quality throughout the process
Liaise with Commercial Department to ensure accurate and profitable management
Manage any external sub-contract packages where applicable
Review all drawings prior to issue for approval
Monitor compliance with client programme and ensure all required administration is in place
Represent the company at client meetings where necessary
Take an active approach, visiting sites and interacting with production where needed
Support sales & estimating to win work
