So, what’s the role?

Thorpes Joinery are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to take on the role of a Bench Joiner.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company delivering high-end joinery for some of the UK’s finest architects and contractors.

Reporting to the Shopfloor Supervisor/Manufacturing Manager, the successful candidate will integrate themselves into our shopfloor supervisory and management framework, and produce items of bespoke joinery within an acceptable timeframe and of a suitable quality.

Interacting with members of our production team to ensure that each project is carried out efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Participate in the manufacture and assembly of bespoke joinery items, and to adhere to existing working practices, methods and procedures.

Skillset

A background in joinery is essential.

The position requires someone who has strong Joinery skills and can consistently demonstrate high quality workmanship.

Overall, we are looking for a candidate who:

  • To work from detailed working drawings

  • To assemble and create accurate, consistent and quality joinery items

  • To work as part of a large team, communicating with different parts of the business when necessary

  • To take pride in the end result

  • To carry out other duties or responsibilities that may be reasonably required and commensurate with the position's grade and level of responsibility.
