Meet the Team: #2 – Craig Smith, Project Manager

We’re back with the second instalment of our Meet the Team series, and this time, we’re introducing Craig Smith, our newly appointed Project Manager. Craig's journey in construction began fourteen years ago as a bench joiner, and over the years, he has built up a wealth of experience, particularly in specialist joinery and construction.

Craig’s Story

When asked what he enjoys most about working in construction, Craig shared:

"I enjoy the variety of work; every project is unique and presents its own challenges. I've had the opportunity to see the inner workings of different buildings that I wouldn’t ordinarily encounter. It's incredibly rewarding to watch a project come together from start to finish."

Craig spent his first seven years in the industry refining his skills as a bench joiner and machinist before transitioning into the office as a project coordinator. Four years ago, he took on the role of Project Manager, a position in which he has continued to grow and develop his skills, even earning his NVQ Level 6 in the process.

Outside of work, Craig is an avid football player and is eager to "score" on his new projects. When he's not on the field or overseeing projects, Craig spends quality time with his two children.

We’re excited to have Craig as part of the Thorpes team and look forward to seeing his continued growth with us.
