Senior Leadership Changes at Thorpes Joinery
The Next Chapter
As Thorpes Joinery continues to grow and evolve, we are delighted to announce two key changes within our Senior Management team.
John Thorpe has been in the role of Managing Director since 1991, and in that time, has overseen decades of growth, evolution and ultimately, shaped the company into what it is today.
A key part of his role has been the building of a strong team, one that can carry the company forward long into the future. To that end, John will be stepping into a new role as Group Chief Executive of the Thorpe Interior Group.
This role will see John take on a more strategic position within the group, incorporating Thorpes Joinery as well as Thorpes Flooring and GTG Joinery Solutions, utilising his vast experience and understanding of our industry to guide the group and ensure our values are upheld.
We are delighted to share that Simon Hobart will be moving into the role of Finance and Managing Director.
Simon has been with the company for 10 years, first as Finance Manager, before his promotion to Finance Director in 2018. In this time, Simon has been integral to the company, developing and driving our Finance Department, navigating the turbulent waters of Covid amongst other challenges, all whilst working closely with the wider business.
In his new position, Simon will combine his financial expertise with broader operational responsibilities, linking into the overall strategic focus to drive the company forward and grasp future opportunities.
