National Apprenticeship Week 2021

It is National Apprenticeship Week so we thought this would be a great opportunity to shine a light on our apprentices and employees here at Thorpes Joinery.

We actively look to employ new apprentices every year, giving them the opportunity to start their journey in the world of construction. We are hugely proud that many apprentices choose to remain with us after gaining their qualifications, it is a key part of our culture to promote from within and to that end, we are delighted that we have former apprentices in positions throughout the company, from highly-skilled bench joiners, to our project management department, all having grown and developed their skills as part of our team.

National Apprenticeship Week is a great opportunity to highlight the amazing opportunities that an apprenticeship brings to employers, individuals and the economy.

Our New Apprentices

As we entered 2021 we welcomed two new apprentices; Henry and Harley who are based in our work shop.

They will be given valuable insight into all areas of joinery production, from solid timber to finishing, and this practical experience will be a key part of their next steps once they have completed their qualification.

Our staff take the responsibility of mentoring seriously, with many having started in the same position they understand the benefit of imparting their experience and the difference this can make.

It has been fantastic to see how employers of all sizes have gone above and beyond to ensure apprentices can continue their studies during this unprecedented time.
