Futures Company
Spanning five levels, this Futures company recently revamped its 192,400 sq ft office space in central London to better accommodate its 1,200 employees.
The Design
Project Manager Jenny Pape and our in-house design team embarked on a four-month design phase alongside architects Scott Brownrigg, working closely to ensure the plans aligned with the client’s brief. The client sought an employee-focused environment, incorporating breakout spaces and a sense of continuity across each floor.
The interior style is clean and thoughtfully designed, with soft materials and neutral upholstery creating a calming atmosphere for employees. Planters are strategically placed throughout the space, promoting a healthy work environment and bringing a touch of nature into the bustling London office.
The Finer Details
A standout feature of this project is the barista bar and seating area on level nine. In collaboration with Scott Brownrigg, the panel style around the carcass was designed and developed, ultimately opting for fluted panels made from bespoke plaster cast tiles.
Resilica was selected for the worktops, crafted from recycled glass, as a more sustainable alternative to composite and natural stones. Powder-coated metalwork was used to frame the bar, seamlessly tying the design elements together.
We worked closely with Thorpes Flooring to enhance the impressive joinery featured throughout the space. The reception area on level eight is especially striking. The Flooring team crafted a custom Penrose pattern using bespoke Italian timber. To complement this, Corian cladding was installed around the main reception desk, achieving a sleek and polished appearance.
Focusing on the intricate wall panelling, we partnered with The Wood Veneer Hub to highlight the use of soft, raw woods that enhance the warm tones throughout the area. A variety of panels were selected to present different tones and textures, all while aligning with the client’s vision.
We are thrilled to have partnered with Structure Tone and Scott Brownrigg on this project, crafting a visually cohesive space that prioritises environmental responsibility and caters to the needs of their employees. We are delighted with the final outcome.
